Item Details
A fine George III mahogany chest of drawers of pleasing proportions showcasing the understated elegance and quality craftsmanship of the period. Constructed in well-figured mahogany, the piece features a moulded rectangular top above a full-width brushing slide, offering both practical use and a desirable period detail.
Below are four graduated long drawers each fitted with original brass swan-neck handles and retaining matching escutcheons. The drawers run smoothly and display solid construction with traditional joinery visible to the interiors. The chest stands on a shaped plinth base, lending it a strong yet refined stance.
This is a versatile and timeless piece, equally suited to a bedroom, hallway or living space and an excellent example of late 18th-century English furniture.

Very good antique condition, with a rich colour and patina throughout. Expected surface marks, light wear and minor historical imperfections consistent with age and use. The brushing slide operates well, and the drawers are clean, sturdy and functional.
