Item Details
A superb English Edwardian triple-pedestal dining table in beautifully figured mahogany, finely string-inlaid with satinwood and displaying the elegant, refined lines characteristic of the period’s revival of earlier Georgian and Regency forms. The rounded D-ends and reeded edge create an attractive and sophisticated silhouette.
The table stands on three turned gun-barrel pedestals each with four reeded down-swept legs terminating in brass lions-paw caps and castors. The extension mechanism runs smoothly and accommodates two leaves, allowing the table to extend to an impressive length suitable for seating up to twelve diners comfortably.
A particularly versatile feature of this model is that the two end sections may be used independently as matching console tables, offering additional decorative or functional use when the table is not fully assembled.
