A superb quality early 19th-century antique Regency period figured mahogany chiffonier cabinet of elegant and compact proportions.
The rectangular top is veneered in beautifully figured mahogany with crossbanded edging over a pair of panelled doors displaying rich flame mahogany grain. The doors open to reveal a shelved interior offering useful storage. The upper frieze features finely carved diamond and beaded appliqués, flanked by turned columns with brass-mounted capitals.
The piece stands on a plinth base with elegant brass lion paw feet and concealed castors for ease of movement. The rich patina and craftsmanship are characteristic of the Regency period reflecting refined taste and neoclassical influence.
