Item Details
A fine William IV rosewood work table of elegant proportions beautifully crafted and richly figured throughout. The rectangular top features drop-leaf sides that extend the surface area when required, supported on original hinged brackets. Beneath are two smooth-running drawers fitted with turned rosewood knobs and original brass locks.
The table stands on striking twin lyre-form supports with refined scrollwork united by a turned stretcher for added stability. It is raised on carved paw feet with castors allowing ease of movement. The piece is both decorative and practical, perfect as a lamp table, side table or sewing/work table in any sophisticated interior.
