Item Details
An antique Victorian mahogany freestanding cheval mirror with a large adjustable rectangular plate, turned supports and an elegant stretchered base.
This quality antique mirror has a substantial mahogany frame with softly rounded upper corners. The large mirror plate is suspended between two finely turned upright supports and can be tilted to achieve the desired viewing angle.
Each upright is surmounted by a decorative turned finial and fitted with a large circular adjustment knob. The supports are joined by a pair of turned stretchers, giving the frame both strength and an attractive balanced appearance.
The mirror stands on four shaped splayed legs terminating in small castors, allowing it to be moved more easily. Its generous proportions make it ideal as a full-length dressing mirror within a bedroom, dressing room or hallway.
