The lamp features a rich cranberry glass font with lovely depth of colour sitting above a finely cast Corinthian capital leading into a reeded brass column and stepped plinth base—classic Victorian neoclassical styling. It retains its period burner and controls together with a decorative frosted and etched glass original shade displaying scrolling foliate motifs typical of the mid-19th century.
