Item Details
A superb quality Victorian mahogany console table featuring exceptionally decorative carving and an elegant, beautifully proportioned design.
The rectangular mahogany top displays a rich colour and attractive grain, finished with a finely carved rope twist border. Beneath, the shaped frieze is lavishly decorated with scrolling foliage, finely detailed carving and a magnificent central scallop shell motif, creating a particularly striking feature.
Raised on four elegant cabriole legs with beautifully carved knees and distinctive claw and ball feet, this handsome table demonstrates excellent craftsmanship throughout.
A wonderfully versatile piece that would make an impressive statement in an entrance hall, drawing room or reception room. Its generous proportions also make it ideal for displaying a collection of decorative objects, a pair of lamps or an arrangement of flowers.
