Item Details
A fine set of six 19th Century English antique rosewood dining chairs each displaying elegant flowing lines and refined carved detail. The shaped top rails feature scrolling carved embellishments leading into gently curved supports and a swept back splat with small shell-carved roundels at each end.
The seats are upholstered in a rich damask fabric complementing the warmth of the rosewood frames. Each chair stands on turned and reeded front legs with carved capitals and elegantly swept rear legs giving the set a balanced and graceful Regency profile. Comfortable, well-made and beautifully proportioned they are ideal for both formal dining and everyday use.
