Item Details
A superb late 19th-century Victorian mahogany torchère of elegant proportion and fine craftsmanship. The turned column features beautifully detailed fluted and spiral carving rising to a circular dished top ideal for displaying a plant, lamp, or decorative object.
The piece stands on a well-formed tripod base with cabriole legs terminating in pad feet offering excellent balance and grace. The rich mahogany has acquired a lovely deep colour and mellow patina reflecting the quality and age of the timber.
