Item Details
A charming and authentic antique Georgian child’s Windsor chair in solid elm, beautifully made with classic country craftsmanship. The hoop back is formed with turned spindles and a shaped central splat, giving it that unmistakable early Windsor character, while the gently curved arms and well-proportioned stance make it both decorative and practical.
The seat is nicely shaped in solid elm with a rich, warm tone and attractive grain, raised on turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher for strength. Pieces like this were originally made for children in country houses, often used in nurseries or positioned alongside adult furniture, mirroring full-size Windsors in miniature form. Today they work equally well as a decorative accent, a fireside piece, or in a hallway or bedroom setting.
