Item Details
A fine Edwardian mahogany partners desk of generous proportion and refined design. The rectangular moulded top is inset with a gilt-tooled leather writing surface resting above an arrangement of drawers to one side and cupboards and drawers to the reverse, allowing the desk to be used comfortably from either side.
Constructed in well-figured mahogany with a warm, mellow tone, the desk stands on a plinth base fitted with concealed castors for ease of movement. The drawers are finely dovetailed and retain their original turned mahogany knobs. The piece separates into three sections—top and two pedestals—for convenient transport and installation.
Displaying the restrained elegance typical of the Edwardian period, this desk combines excellent quality craftsmanship with timeless practicality making it an ideal centrepiece for a study, library, or executive office.
