Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Bow-ended Display Cabinet

An antique Edwardian mahogany inlaid display cabinet with bowed glass ends, decorative astragal glazing and an elegant fitted interior. This quality antique cabinet has a shaped moulded cornice above a finely inlaid frieze decorated with linked oval swags and floral motifs. Further boxwood stringing and delicate inlaid borders enhance the rich mahogany throughout. The central glazed door features an attractive geometric astragal design and opens to reveal three shaped display shelves lined in a pale patterned fabric. Curved glazed panels to each bow end allow displayed objects to be viewed from several angles, while the deep red interior provides a striking backdrop for porcelain, glassware, silver or decorative collections. The lower section of the door has a beautifully inlaid panel centred by an oval figured mahogany reserve. The cabinet is raised on four slender square tapering legs terminating in spade feet.
