A handsome Edwardian mahogany breakfront bookcase with an elegant architectural shape and very useful proportions. The stepped breakfront form gives the piece a strong presence while still keeping a refined look that works well in both traditional and more modern interiors. The upper section is fitted with glazed doors allowing books, silver or decorative objects to be displayed while remaining protected. The central door has an attractive arched astragal design which adds extra character and sets the piece apart from simpler examples.
