Item Details
A beautifully proportioned antique Edwardian longcase clock dating from the early 20th century, finely crafted in mahogany with elegant line inlay and a shaped hood. The case features a swan-neck pediment with brass finials, a glazed trunk door revealing the brass pendulum and a square brass dial with spandrels and silvered chapter ring.
The movement is an eight-day striking mechanism striking the hours on a mellow bell and remains in excellent working order. The dial, spandrels, and hands are all original, while the oak-backed case retains its rich, warm patina and shows no signs of damage or restoration.
This clock embodies the refined style and quality craftsmanship of the Edwardian period — lighter and more graceful than its Victorian predecessors — making it an elegant statement piece for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
