Fine quality antique Edwardian satinwood inlaid lamp/side table by Edwards & Roberts, London having a quality inlaid satinwood serpentine shaped top with pretty rosewood crossbanding, serpentine shaped frieze standing on beautiful elegant inlaid satinwood square tapering legs with spade feet united by a cross stretcher with a shaped undertier. A beautiful, extremely attractive example in lovely original condition. Founded in 1845, Edwards and Roberts trading from 21 Wardour Street, London became synonymous with high quality furniture, both as cabinet makers, producing items to a very high standard using the finest timbers, and as 'Importers of Ancient Furniture'. By the late 19th century Edwards & Roberts were one of the leading firms of English cabinetmakers.
