Outstanding quality antique Victorian burr walnut marquetry inlaid serpentine shaped credenza having a superior quality burr walnut serpentine shaped inlaid and emboyna crossbanded top above an inlaid shaped frieze with ornate brass beading above a single serpentine shaped door with outstanding quality inlay and brass beading. This door is flanked by serpentine shaped burr walnut glazed doors opening to reveal two fitted display shelves, four elegant turned tapering inlaid columns with ormolu mounts standing on a burr walnut inlaid serpentine shaped plinth. This is a breathtaking statement piece boasting the finest quality of craftsmanship and design. The triple serpentine design makes it unusual yet stunning. Even though a maker's mark is not evident it was most certainly crafted by one of the leading cabinet makers of the period, most likely Holland and Sons.
