Antique Victorian outstanding quality burr walnut ormolu mounted mirror back credenza having a moulded pediment above a magnificent quality burr walnut ormolu mounted back with original mirror plate flanked by marginal mirror plates supporting burr walnut shaped shelves. The base having an outstanding quality burr walnut breakfront top with a moulded edge above a central glazed door flanked by superior quality ormolu mounts opening to reveal two shaped glass shelves flanked by burr walnut shaped open display shelves on a plinth base. This grand show-case piece is undoubtedly one of the most superior examples of this period. Even though not marked, this expertly designed and crafted piece was most certainly made by one of the leading cabinet makers of the Victorian period and the proportions and quality of the materials suggest a commissioned piece.
